Hopefully this weekend in the city I call home, Toronto, will show itself better than the previous when rioters decided it was ok to spark cop cars ablaze in the name of “anti-corporatism”. How appropriate that this weekend is “Pride”.
Although not for everyone Pride is definately a celebration. A celebration of steps taken forward, of acceptance and tolerance. These are things that our beautiful city and country are known for. This was the image that was tarnished last weekend. A weekend of innocence lost. Hopefully this weekend we can celebrate and take back some of our “Pride”.
